This lovely, greasy cardboard box once housed a delicious, well-done margherita pizza.
Clearly they underestimated us when they thought they could leave the box on the high counter unattended. After all, we have great reach on two legs and if all else fails, we know how to jump up. Just call us Air Porties.
Shocking though it sounds, I'm going to miss those thin sheets of bread. I had my first matza brie ever and I was sold. (Forgive the fuzzy picture but my sudden movement ruined the picture quality).
Hard times require tough choices. I waited until I was SURE we were going on a walk to have my breakfast. Nice "investment banker" outfit, huh? All I'm missing is my briefcase.
We visited the "tomato lady" and I was treated to this delicious cucumber! Didn't care for the skin though.
Doughy...chewy...filling but not too filling...
But alas, this New York bagel was just out of reach.
These folks were nice enough to indulge my weakness for Le Pain Quotidien with a croissant.
Unexpectedly, I ran into my Sugar Daddy a few blocks away from our usual haunt.
But I was too late.
The treats were gone.
