I was fast-pedaling it around the Boat Basin in Central Park when I saw a small opening on the perimeter. She was too busy videotaping to stop me and I dove in!
They don't call me a water dog for nothing.

Fired By the Dog Groomer
As they say, "only in New York." We waited 2 months, not 1, to return to the groomer, and when we called to make an appointment, we were summarily dismissed. "I'm very selective about my dogs," said the groomer on the fashionable Upper East Side. "I was very clear that you should have come back in a month."
After we recovered from the shock, we made an appointment at a different salon.
They did a fine job, not as poofy or as coiffed for sure, but nontheless, a fine job.
And they treated me well.
